Here is SHOW #75: SUPREME COURT RULING on AFFIRMATIVE ACTION in which I discuss the recent decision about the court's ruling and the RAMIFICATIONS that each and every institution must change and adapt their policies in college admissions. Quite frankly, this decision was going to happen and many of us who have been in higher education for decades had a feeling that it was about to happen. Why? In my podcast, I breakdown the reasons why and being a person of color and a professor in academia, "race" will no longer be in the only criteria for evaluating future students into higher education. So now, it is a NEW DAY for higher education institutions, administrators, and directors to start seriously evaluating future students more HOLISTICALLY about their potential to succeed at their respective institutions and NOT simply enroll students just because of their race and trying to be "EQUITABLE" at their institution.
